Prepared and prosecuted many patent applications in the fields of physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer sciences, including, e.g., the following technologies: digital communications; radar; semiconductor devices; lasers; computer software and hardware; artificial intelligence; robotics; electro-optics; digital and analog circuits; superconductivity; antennas; communications satellites; local area networks; programmable logic devices; nuclear physics; plasma physics; quantum physics; acoustic transducers; night vision technology; spectroscopy; IR detection; and ordinance.

Conducted substantial patent prosecution, including, interferences and appeals to the Board of Appeals, interferences included negotiating settlements.

Prepared infringement and validity opinions, and conducted right-to-use investigations. Prepared and answered interrogatories. Assisted at depositions and reviewed evidence during and in preparation for discovery.

Managed a government portfolio of hundreds of foreign patents and trademarks.

Supervised a government patent office with seven patent attorneys and agents.

Handled various matters involving trade secrets, technical data, patent clauses in government contracts and employee rights in patents.

Examined patent applications in Surgery, Class 128, particularly patent applications concerning surgical diagnostic devices, systems and methods.
