Peter L. Michaelson

Mr. Michaelson serves as an ADR neutral (e.g. arbitrator and mediator), for a wide variety of well-known and widely-respected international and domestic administering organizations (e.g., ICDR, AAA, CPR, WIPO, LCIA, ICC and others), primarily handling disputes involving intellectual property, and technology disputes involving information technology, infrastructures, telecommunications and energy (oil, gas and solar); and secondarily other areas.  He also serves as a Court-appointed expert in patent law.  By virtue of his extensive expertise,  experience and knowledge in the electronics, computer and telecommunications arts, he also acts in a representational capacity handling patent matters for various clients generally involving those arts.  He also serves as “virtual” General Counsel to Direct Grid Technologies, LLC. Mr. Michaelson earned a Master of Laws (LLM) in Trade Regulation from New York University School of Law and a Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law, as well as an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Economics both from Carnegie-Mellon University.

Peter A. Luccarelli Jr.

Mr. Luccarelli specializes in preparation and prosecution of patents, trademarks and copyrights, as well as related opinions of counsel. He heads the firm’s electromechanical and mechanical practice. Mr. Luccarelli applies eighteen-year, in-house Intellectual Property Attorney and Associate Chief IP Counsel skills as “virtual” in-house lawyer for companies. This includes IP-related asset identification and protection, asset management, due diligence, licensing, risk management and related opinions and dispute resolution, as well as valuation advice to client transactional teams of in-house counsel and management, their financial advisors and other outside counsel. His emphasis in the past has been on electromechanical, mechanical and electrical arts worldwide patent prosecution and related risk management opinions. Mr. Luccarelli earned his law degree from Fordham University School of Law and his B.S. from Columbia University School of Engineering & Applied Science.

Brian K. Johnson

Mr. Johnson specializes in all IP-related transactional matters related to a client’s Intellectual Property assets. Such services include preparation and prosecution of patents, trademarks and copyrights, as well as preparation and review of related opinions of counsel, due diligence activities, licenses and agreements. Further, corporate-specific, IP services extend to formulating IP procurement, maintenance and assertion strategies, including risk management and IP identification and culling processes. Mr. Johnson’s legal experiences cover 10 years of corporate counsel practice within several different U.S. and International companies, including extensive work within start-up ventures. Mr. Johnson’s 15+ years of IP legal practice has also been conducted in connection with several New York City and New Jersey based Intellectual Property law firms. Mr. Johnson earned his law degree from New York University, his M.S. E.E. from The University of Michigan and his B.S.E.E. from The Pennsylvania State University.

George Wolken Jr., Ph.D.

Dr. Wolken has substantial expertise in the chemical and physical arts, particularly involving semiconductor and device technology. Dr. Wolken greatly complements and enhances our capabilities in those areas. He earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Harvard University and J.D. from Capital University Law School.
